Canon LBP6018B ubuntu driver installation step by step

Install Canon LBP6018B printer driver in ubuntu12.04

Step 1: Download Packages

        Download package from ubuntu websiter Linux_CAPT_PrinterDriver_V260_uk_EN.gz

        Download Click here: click here 

Step 2: Extract packages

[root@ashish] #  tar -xvf Linux_CAPT_PrinterDriver_V260_uk_EN.gz

[root@ashish] # cd 32-bit_Driver/Debian/

Step 3 : Install Debian packages

[root@ashish] #  dpkg -i cndrvcups-common_2.60-1_i386.deb

[root@ashish] # dpkg -i cndrvcups-capt_2.60-1_i386.deb

Step 4 : Restart printer cups service

[root@ashish] #  /etc/init.d/cups restart

Step 5: Add Printer using terminal (Run command on terminal)

[root@ashish] #  /usr/sbin/lpadmin -p LBP6018 -m CNCUPSLBP6018CAPTK.ppd -v ccp://localhost:59687 -E

[root@ashish] # /usr/sbin/ccpdadmin -p LBP6018 -o /dev/usb/lp0

Step 6 : Restart services

[root@ashish] # /etc/init.d/ccpd start

Step 7 : Print test page.
